" Tina is the epitome of a professional real estate agent. She is not only kind and hardworking, but she truly cares about her clients and their situations. She goes above and beyond the call of duty when needed, and goes out of her way to help her clients in any way that she can.
In my situation, Tina knew what a difficult position we were in, and she really had her work cut out for her. My husband and I owned a house on East 34th Street, and unfortunately had to recently sell it in a short sale to avoid foreclosure, due to an unfortunate medical procedure on my husband?s part. You see, he had a colonoscopy that went bad and ended up with a perforated colon. This led to major surgery and nearly death. We did believe that after several months of recovery, he would be able to go back to work and things would go back to normal. However, this was not the case.
As months passed, and other surgeries took place, we began falling behind on our mortgage. We tried to deal with the bank at the time, but to no avail. I was working as a teacher in a catholic school, and making very little pay, and even with my husband?s work disability, it still wasn?t quite enough. We looked to refinance our home, as we owned it for years, in the hope that we would be able to hang on and keep our home. Most people refinance in order to make improvements to their property. However, we took the money in order to keep paying the mortgage, as this was our very first home and we were inexperienced and misinformed.
When we finally came to the realization that there would be no way out for us, we decided to turn to Tina for help. She not only took the time to truly listen to our story, but offered advice and comfort as well. With her help we decided to put the house on the market and make a deal with the bank. Tina went right to work. We had a sign on our front lawn, and open houses advertised all over the neighborhood. She worked diligently on our case for many, many months. She went through buyers and a near closing, and just when we thought it was over, it fell through and she had to start all over again.
If I were in her position, I probably would have given up right there and then, but Tina pushed on even harder. Not only did she have to deal with potential buyers and open houses, but negotiate with our bank as well. This was not an easy situation to stay calm in, but despite the nasty attitudes of the negotiators, Tins still dealt with them in a most professional manner.
As it turns out, the bank negotiators really gave her a hard time. I don?t think I would last under all of that pressure, but Tina told us that her main concern was to help us out of this unfortunate situation. She really connected with us and it became her mission to sell our house. My husband and I did not have such a great experience with the real estate agency we purchased our house from, but dealing with someone like Tina really made up for it. Her caring attitude and kindness were not something we were expecting at all.
In the end, the house was sold by another agent from the MLS, and as you know and agents commission on a short sale is not very much, let alone having to share it with someone else. Even knowing this, Tina still pushed on to do all the paperwork, and put everything in order with the bank, lawyers, buyers and the other agency. To us, her unselfishness is most admired and heartwarming.
To most agents, business is business; a house is just another piece of property for sale. However, in our opinion, Tina Del Toro not only puts those others to shame, but is an outstanding, exceptional professional who deserves the highest praises. I truly hope you know the value of your agent, Tina Del Toro. We are eternally grateful to her.
Sincerely,

"Tina Del Toro was a godsend to us. Prior to our experience with Tina, we had 2 very disappointing experiences with 2 other firms. Tina had come to us through a referral. We were told she was someone who would go to the end of the earth to sell our property, and she did. Her unbridled enthusiasm, dedication, commitment, honesty and kindness were what we were looking for so we decided to sign with your firm. Tina promised us a campaign that would be assertive and well thought out. Within one month we had more people view our property than the combined nine months we were with the two prior realtors. She committed to us open houses every week as well as actively seeking prospective buyers through the Fillmore network. She came through on both. The buyer we closed with was actually the 2nd buyer we went to contract with through Tina. The prior deal fell through. When that happened, Tina continued with the same professionalism and commitment to get the job done. Tina was instrumental in the negotiating process as well in working the buyer up to a number which was satisfactory to us. Our deal also came with complications because of zoning issues on our property. Tina maintained constant communication with the buyer's realtor and let him know of our commitment to make things right with the department of buildings. The process was slow but Tina was able to communicate with them that it would get done (3 months took 6 to complete).
In summary, if all of your sales professionals conducted themselves like Tina did with us, I would surmise Fillmore Real Estate would have many happy customers.
Sincerely,
